Visiting Jammu - City of Temples

Founded in 1730, Jammu and Kashmir's winter capital is still the major halt  for piligrims enroute to Vaishno Devi temple. It was the seat of power of the Dogra Rajas. Jammu lies on the bank of river Tawi. On the northern bank, climbling steadily from the bus station through narrow bazaar lanes to the Mubarak Mandi. While the train station the airport are on the southern bank.
